One of the most impactful goals when building exceptional products is to plan for future innovation.

When we built Aurora II, we had a clear vision to future-proof our cameras. Along with all the hardware advancements came a detailed roadmap for ongoing software upgrades.

It began with Luma 3.0, a new front-end interface that seamlessly and artfully displayed the best daily content from our cameras. We are now thrilled to announce a completely new Timelapse 2.0 Upgrade.

What’s New

  1. New Code — We scrapped our old, antiquated code and then started from scratch. This allowed us to optimize every aspect of the back-end, supporting our present and future goals for timelapse creation and delivery.
  2. New Quality Upgrade — We increased blending to dramatically smoothen out the time-lapse. Captivating your audience with engaging and visually rich content.
  3. Playback Speed Upgrade — Better blending, allowed us to dynamically adjust the frame rate to highlight Mother Nature’s most beautiful moments.

New Timelapse

This new foundation will open up the door for future software upgrades to include some of the following:

  1. Better tools for distribution of Timelapse content.
  2. Custom Timelapse creation tools. (i.e. days, weeks, storms, seasons)
  3. Custom timelapse shooting schedules.

As always, we welcome your feedback and thoughts. If you want to hear about our roadmap for new development or to discuss a camera at your location please click below and send us a message.
